Behind the Scenes with Dominica & Gabby:

Quite a bit of work goes into a photoshoot, especially when coordinating models, stylists, and couture gowns. We collaborated with hair and makeup artist Ann to execute a styled shoot that showcases her exceptional skills. Ann arranged for several high-end wedding gowns and brought a range of looks for the models to wear, allowing us to capture multiple hair and makeup variations throughout the session.

We began on a formal canvas backdrop to establish clean, classic portraits, then moved to a black seamless to create images with stronger contrast and visual impact. Models Dominica and Gabby were a pleasure to work with — professional, patient, and expressive — which made the shoot smooth and enjoyable.

Below are behind-the-scenes prep shots and test frames used to dial in exposure and lighting. These allowed us to refine hair, makeup, pose, and wardrobe before committing to the final frames. The finished images were captured on Fuji Astia 100F color reversal slide film, which contributed to the rich, nuanced tones and the polished, timeless feel of the final photographs.

We had great fun bringing Ann’s vision to life and producing images that highlight her craft.
