I wanted to show what a great interior design team can do—even with common spaces. Clean lines and careful proportions make this small secondary conference room feel deliberate and calm, maximizing function without sacrificing style. The executive office demonstrates a thoughtful layout that balances privacy, light, and workflow. And the small bullpen is tidy and uncluttered, designed to support focused collaboration without distraction.

Each of these spaces inspires and supports staff, creating a professional atmosphere that enhances daily work. Simple decisions—material choices, scale, and organization—add up to environments that feel both refined and welcoming.

American Gardens - Classic Residential Project -

We met Chloe AnTo from American Gardens on-site as she walked us through this sensational residential project. The grounds feature an in-ground pool, bluestone patio anchored by a large vintage fireplace, and stone knee walls planted with lush greenery and seasonal flowers. A graceful water feature and a raised second-level portion overlook the property, creating layered sight-lines and a strong sense of flow.

Classic and luxurious, yet comfortable and expansive—those words come to mind. The composition feels carefully balanced: generous open spaces for gathering, intimate niches for quiet moments, and circulation that guides you naturally from one area to the next. The materials and detailing are restrained but richly executed—natural stone, refined masonry, and meticulous plantings that soften the hard edges.

Peaceful is another immediate impression. Sound and sight are managed thoughtfully: the fireplace and pool provide visual anchors, while the water feature adds calming movement without overpowering the scene. Craftsmanship is evident in every joint, edge, and planting bed; the execution speaks to a team committed to excellence in both design and build.

Upscale Apartments with Fine Cabinetry by EGGER Wood Products LLC -

Moving on, we photographed two high-end apartments showcasing EGGER Wood Products’ fine cabinetry. Here are the kitchens in contrasting wood tones and the refined vanities used in the primary bathrooms. The fit and finish are first-rate, and as a supplier to many hotels and resorts, EGGER’s durability is stellar—many installations look as new years on with proper care. Shooting the Lounge at Yorktown Reserve - EGGER Wood Products, LLC -

One of the first spaces we photographed at Yorktown Reserve was this lounge — a beautiful, comfortable private room with direct access to the outdoor patio and pool. Designed for family gatherings or intimate private parties, the space features a fully stocked kitchen and bar, fine leather seating, and layouts ideal for conversation, relaxing, or viewing movies and sports.

The coffered ceiling above the bar and the kitchen cabinetry, along with the wall unit that houses the television and entertainment storage, are all by EGGER Wood Product. Their craftsmanship contributes to the room’s refined, high-end character.

EGGER Wood Products LLC - Yorktown Reserve -

We spent a couple of days working with Trade Marketing Specialist Ashantia Wright, assisted by Mai, who flew in from the North American corporate offices to Chicago to showcase their fine wood products in two commercial projects. After scouting and staging the day of, they meticulously prepped each space, which let us efficiently photograph three high-end apartments, the common and recreational areas, and a large foyer all in one long day. Anfinsen - Entry, Waiting & Conference Room by Key Interiors:

Picking up with this Sensational project by Key Interior Design, led by Director of Design Debby Hill with Senior Designer Jess Bustos and Technical Designer Katherine Burnor. This team — arguably the finest commercial interior design firm working today — has delivered a space that proves the claim.

Color is used with precision and restraint, creating visual rhythm while reinforcing distinct programmatic zones. Sound-deadening partitions and treatments are integrated as design features rather than afterthoughts: the anechoic ceiling in the main conference room and the decorative acoustic wall panels both enhance the room’s aesthetic and dramatically improve speech privacy and sound quality. The glass wall offers frosted privacy at the touch of a button, marrying transparency and discretion with seamless, modern technology.

The result reads like a newly built, cutting-edge office: contemporary, refined, and highly functional. A stellar design by any measure — one of our favorite shoots this year. More to come.

Luxury Art-Deco Den -

This elegant den in an Upper North Side Chicago condo recalls an era when refined style and luxury were the standard. Handcrafted moldings, a marble fireplace, rich hardwood floors and generous built-in bookcases create a timeless backdrop. A concealed wet bar reveals a wall displaying labels peeled from some of the finest vintages in wine and aged bourbon, blending practicality with tasteful drama.

Through the adjoining doorway, the foyer presents a gracious welcome—an ideal hub for greeting guests and directing flow to the dining and living rooms or up to the expansive upper level. Aimee’s interior design and furniture selections honor the period’s character while ensuring the space meets contemporary expectations for comfort and function.
