Secluded Michigan Bath House :

Of course, everyone who lives in the woods in Michigan, needs their own private bath house.  This one compliments the secluded custom home built by Joshua Schmidke perfectly.  What an amazing retreat, and just 50 or so steps from the main house.  Below are some favorites.

Contemporary Suite by Lenore Weiss :

Spacious, meticulously executed, timeless interior design - the hallmark of Lenore Weiss.

Mid Century Residential Office:

Larry and Scott Berliant, master home builders, graciously invited us to capture the beauty of a classic home they meticulously remodeled late last year. The home was truly a sight to behold, showcasing exquisite details that I can't wait to share with you in the upcoming weeks.

As part of this project, we had the pleasure of exploring this mid-century office space. One of the highlights was discovering a hidden powder room cleverly tucked away within the built-in bookcases. Here are a few of my favorite snapshots from the office. Stay tuned for more glimpses into this remarkable transformation!

Shooting Small Spaces :

When it comes to architectural photography, capturing small spaces can pose unique challenges compared to larger areas. Limited space often restricts lighting choices, but that shouldn't deter you from showcasing your full skill set. It's essential to ensure that the smaller area is depicted without any compromises, giving the impression that attention to detail was paramount, and the space was not an afterthought.

Beautiful luxurious suite by Jerry Dardick of JMD Builders.  It just doesn’t get any better.

Mid-Century Kitchen Remodel:

Updating a much-loved older home can often be a challenge.  That is why is it is always a wise choice to use a seasoned builder with a stellar reputation for high quality.  Orren Pickell Builders exemplifies excellence in craftsmanship, design, and architecture, as showcased in this beautiful mid-century traditional home kitchen remodel. The custom cabinets, tiles, and finishes, combined with thoughtful architectural enhancements, transformed the space while preserving its original charm.  Below are a few favorites from the shoot.

Great Shot:

It’s great to work with a team.  When you do, you end up with views and shots that you may not have gotten otherwise.  In this instance, we were on a one day shoot for Michelle’s interiors and trying to get as much photographed as possible.  That is when it’s great to have a business partner who can shoot.  I was walking past the dining room with my gear and grabbed this iphone shot of my business partner Mary Price setting up a shot.  I was kind of thinking; ‘well I already shot the dining room.’  Mary reviewed my work in-camera and decided I missed one. I’m glad she did.  Michelle loved the detail and so did I.
