Early Morning Shoot:

On location in Texas, we had a full day of shooting ahead of us.  We decided to start early, before the sunrise and shoot the interior of this Hilton hotel, then move outside and take advantage of the light as the Sun came up, giving us beautiful full light and some perfect shadow casts for the patio.  A few favorites below.

Taking Advantage of The Early Morning:

What do you do when you're out of state on location and have three large projects to photograph in a day?  You start early, really early.  These hotel interiors were shot around 4:00am.  The front of the hotel faced East, which meant I had about 15min of cobalt blue coming through the windows just before full sunrise.  The idea wa to get the lobby, restaurant, and bar photographed, before quests started coming down for breakfast, then shoot the edterior ata sunrise and take advantage of the blast of light and shadow cast as the sun comes up.

I really enjoy shooting commercial interiors, especially hotels.  The designers are often a bit over-the-top, with color choice and patterns.  Properly lighting the scene gives the photographer the opportunity to really make the images 'pop, without blowing out (overexposing) the light fixtures and windows.

This Hilton Hotel located in Texas was built by Level Construction.  If you're looking for a company to handle such a large project, you won't find a better one to partner with.  I will add some exteriors in a separate post.

Serendipity:

Sometimes, the perfect photo opportunity presents itself unexpectedly.  A few years ago, while photographing a hotel for Level Construction, a gentleman arreived in a Rolls Royce and quickly disappeared inside.  Talk about timing!  Here are a few favorites from the shoot.

The Perfect Cape Cod:

Flashing back to a project photographed in 2016 for Geno Benvenuti of Benvenuti & Stein.  This series of images has gained widespread publication, with this project wining numerous awards for both its exterior and interior design.  When envisioning the perfect cape cod home, this particular project immediately comes to mind.

Richardson Electronics - Key Interiors :

Earlier this year, Mary Price and I met with Key Interiors Director of Design, Debby Hill to continue a shoot of an extensive remodel of an electronics manufacturer.  I was impressed by the super clean layout of one of the assembly floors and loading docks.  The new office area was comfortable, accommodating and offered private offices, functional bullpen area and an in-office kitchen space for gabbing a coffee and quick meeting.  Here are some of the views.

Breitling Boutique:

Recently had the pleasure of photographing the newly opened Breitling boutique in Oak Brook, Illinois.  It was a great pleasure meeting Boutique Manager Abbie Damptz on-ste to discuss the desired views for the shoot.  Abbie's attention to detail and dedication to ensuring everything was perfect made the sessions a success.  Here are a few of our favorites from the shoot.

English Garden:

We recently had the pleasure of working on a project for Brian Perreault of Barrett’s Technology Solutions.  Last autumn, we captured stunning shots of this homes

state-of-the-art interior.  Brian wanted us to return to photograph the garden like exterior featuring a large screen weatherproof television and sound system.  The fall colors and picturesque landscapes create the perfect setting for this shoot.
