Lobbies, Hallways & Powder Rooms:

All architectural photographers understand the allure of capturing the pool area or the bar and restaurant in a luxurious hotel. However, it's equally crucial to pay attention to seemingly ordinary spaces like hallways, lobbies, and powder rooms. These areas serve as the initial impression for hotel guests, setting the tone for their stay. Hence, meticulous lighting and processing are just as vital in these areas as when photographing a lavish suite.

Detail Shot:

This detail shot demonstrates exactly why you hire a high-end interior designer like Marsha Jones.   Simply put, the beauty is in the details, and Marsha is all about details.

Flashback Lifestyle Photoshoot :

We have been doing some lifestyle shots along with some recent architectural shoots, and my business partner Mary Beth commented on one of her favorites. This one from 2014. Here we had photographed the interior of an older home remodel by architect Mason Miller, which I will feature soon on one of my 'Flashback Friday' posts.

As I was packing up the gear, the homeowner came downstairs with her daughter and began preparing some dinner. Mary Beth invited them to pose for a few shots and they thought it would be fun. It was. Mary Beth shot these using a SONY A7 and a Carl Zeiss 11mm lens. She used a SunPAK 555 flash gun bounced off the ceiling for the soft fill light. Here are some favorites.

Shot On Film - Recording Artist Brenda Minor:

Back in 2002, we were shooting images on-site in Tennessee at a recording studio for an album that Brenda was working on.  This one was taken in a hallway just outside her recording booth as she was taking a break to hear a playback.

I shot this with a Minolta XE-7 using a Rokkor 58mm 1.2 lens, with a Vivitar 285 flash on a Vivitar flash bracket. I used Fuji Astia 100F, color reversal film.

Romantic Master Suite:

Today, let's take a quick look at a master suite designed by Marietta Calas from Expressive Interiors. Marietta believes in creating a romantic ambiance in the master suite, and this design truly captures that essence.

Small Photo Shoot? Yes!

 Small Photoshoot?  YES!

We sometimes get calls from interior designers who have small projects and need just a shot or two, or a large project but just want to shoot one or two rooms.  In fact, I had such an inquiry yesterday.  No problem.  We make this work by coupling your small photoshoot  with another one or two that we have scheduled the same day.  So, if you have a project and just need a few shots, ring us up.  We would love to put you into our calendar.
