Bespoke Baby's Room:

In over 30 years of shooting high-end interior design, photographing a baby’s bedroom is a rare occasion—this is only the third or fourth time. From the handmade light fixtures to the exquisite wall coverings, every detail speaks to the same level of bespoke craftsmanship seen throughout the rest of this exquisite home. The mother’s chair and window lounge add both comfort and elegance, showing a thoughtful effort to create a space as refined and carefully curated as the larger interiors. This bedroom, by Lauren Coburn Interiors, stands as a quiet testament to exceptional design tailored to both beauty and function. To see more of our work, pleaser visit our website. www.normansizemore.com

Industrial Theme - Retail Exterior:

After we had finished shooting the interior of Salon Lofts, Houston, we arrived early morning to shoot the commercial building.  This building had been repurposed for retail and Salon Loft’s was among their first tenants.  We loved how the architect maintained the buildings industrial theme, while making it the perfect space for retail. To see more of our work, please visit our website. www.normansizemore.com

Shooting Salon Lofts:

We received an assignment to photograph Salon Lofts in Houston.   Interior shooting was straight forward for a commercial setting.  We wanted to highlight as much of the interior as possible so one could get a good sense of the space from the photographs.  We were really happy with the results as was our client.  A few from the shoot below.  To see more of our work, please visit our website. www.normansizemore.com

Shooting LUSH:

Shooting a retail interior is always a challenge. Dealing with multiple light sources—display lighting, floor lighting, signage, ceiling lights—each with varying color temperatures, often makes post-processing complex. Controlling the brightness of commercial fixtures is seldom an option since commercial-grade dimmers are costly, and retailers prefer their products to be brightly lit.

We encountered all these challenges when photographing LUSH Cosmetics in Houston. To add to the complexity, we had less than an hour to complete the shoot before staff began opening preparations. Despite the constraints, we captured about a dozen exposures that processed smoothly and resulted in high-quality images.

Below are a few highlights from this shoot. To see more of our work, please visit our website. www.normansizemore.com

Jeanie Marcus Design:

Flashing back to 2017, I had the pleasure of photographing a small Chicago condo designed by Jeanie Marcus. Jeanie is an exceptional designer, known for her impeccable taste and meticulous attention to detail. In this minimalist setting, every element is thoughtfully selected and perfectly placed, creating a harmonious and inviting space.

One standout feature is the refinished antique piano, which adds a unique and elegant aesthetic to the room. The dining table, also refinished, is complemented by bespoke chairs and a striking light fixture that enhance the overall ambiance. The fine art selections contribute warmth and beauty throughout the space.

A custom hardwood shelf unit houses the television and accessories, crafted with precision and care, showcasing the quality materials and design. The custom bed and bedding offer a cozy and stylish retreat, rounding out the space beautifully.

This project remains one of my favorites from 2017, exemplifying timeless design and a seamless blend of function and artistry.  To see more of our work, please visit our website. www.normansizemore.com

Shooting Jollibee:

Flashback Friday: shooting the Jollibee restaurant back in 2016 at about 5:00 a.m. The interior featured one of the boldest color schemes we had ever seen, with vibrant reds and yellows creating a lively, energetic atmosphere. The design made a strong visual statement, perfectly complementing the brand’s playful identity. Some favorites from the shoot are below, showcasing the dynamic use of color and light that made this space stand out. Shooting Spartan House:

Doing some archiving and came across these from 2016. We photographed this project for Jason Konrad shortly after he completed the interior and exterior remodel. He needed high-quality images to showcase his portfolio. The team did an exceptional job on the interior—clean, stylish, and inviting. It’s a great spot to enjoy a burger and a cold beer, reflecting both craftsmanship and comfort.
