Masculine Master Suite by Desiree Denoyer:

Continuing in the Chicago luxury condo we photographed for interior designer Desiree Denoyer, the master suite embraces a bold, masculine sensibility. Desiree’s confident use of a strong color palette carries into this room, where deep tones and rich textures create a sleek, contemporary retreat. The twin lounge chairs arranged beside the fireplace draw the eye—clean lines and low profiles that invite lingering with a cocktail while taking in the Chicago skyline.

The overall composition balances warmth and restraint: dramatic color, layered materials, and minimal ornamentation that together feel both intimate and distinctly urban. We’ll share a few more images from this high-end space soon.

Hitting It Out of The Park: Desiree Denoyer:

Moving some files this morning and had to look again. I think I showed one of these images last year, and I received so many comments on our blog about the photo.  Here are a few more.  The year was 2010, and the designer that knocked this out of the park was Desiree Denoyer.  I vividly remember her telling stories, sipping wine and running from room to room to stage so we could finish in an evening, which we did.

After all these years, her designs still stand up today!

Bespoke Pantry & Wet Bar:

We recently photographed a victorian remodel for Benvenuti & Stein. The talented architect team, opened walls and relocated the kitchen, making room for a pantry/bar area that blended perfectly with the victorian architecture of the home. The centrally located pantry includes custom cabinetry for easy access to the nearby kitchen. The Bar area is just across the dining room making it the perfect spot for entertain and freshening drinks for guests.

More to come from this photoshoot!

Transitional Dining Room by Stephaine Nickolson:

A recent shoot with veteran interior designer Stephanie Nickolson in an beautiful, mature home—remodeling focused here on the dining room.

Stephanie selected a textured wallpaper with a subtle golden vein running through the pattern, which establishes a warm, refined focal point. A bespoke sideboard with a substantial granite top grounds the room, its weight and materiality balancing the delicate texture of the walls. The custom dining table and upholstered chairs provide both comfort and functional flow for everyday use and entertaining.

A gold dish-and-ball chandelier echoes the wallpaper’s vein, unifying the palette and adding a soft metallic shimmer overhead. Handmade draperies are tailored to perfectly frame the window, moderating light and completing the transitional composition between traditional and contemporary elements.

Photographed to emphasize texture, scale, and layered finishes—more from Stephanie Nickolson coming soon.

The Pool House:

The Pool House, by Orren Pickell Builders

We photographed this exceptional pool house last year. Built to the same exacting standards as the main residence—also by Orren Pickell—the structure serves as an ideal complement to the expansive outdoor pool area. Thoughtful amenities include a full kitchen, changing rooms, bath and shower, making it fully functional for extended use and entertaining.

A generous outdoor patio can be enclosed with electric screens or secured from storms with motorized storm doors, allowing year-round comfort and protection from harsh weather. The layout and finishes create a seamless indoor-outdoor flow, providing a comfortable, private retreat for guests during outdoor gatherings.

More coming soon.

Kipnis, Berliant, Coburn:

Michigan Mid Century Exterior:

We loved this Michigan mid century home.  Fully remodeled interior with high-end interior design by Jennifer Butler.  She also worked her magic on the exterior.  In ground hot tub, outdoor fire place with custom outdoor furniture and a gather space to enjoy a meal with family and friends.  The grounds included a stepping stone path to flowering garden.  More to come.

Mid Century Home Theater:

Jennifer Butler’s team did an incredible job on this mid-century home. Modest in size, she managed to squeeze usable space from every room. In the lower level, where ceiling height was a limitation, Jennifer had her craftsman dig out and lower the floor, achieving a standard eight-foot ceiling throughout and transforming the feel and functionality of the space.

Beyond that structural move, walls were shifted and the layout was reworked to maximize flow and utility. The result: a proper family room, a dedicated wine cellar, a well-appointed office, a full bath, and a comfortable home theater—each area feeling deliberately designed and perfectly scaled to the house.

The home is impressive and the space is incredible. More to come.
