Olde World Guest Room:

Our latest showcase features the exquisite guest room of a secluded Michigan home crafted by master home builder Joshua Schmidke. The room boasts vaulted ceilings and a charming galley-style bathroom. A nod to the past is evident in the design, with vintage elements such as a double cast iron sink and a hand sink adorned with a painted glass bowl. The home exudes character and charm, making it a truly unique and inviting space.

Secluded Michigan Home Master Suite:

Continuing with the interior of this secluded Michigan home by master home builder Joshua Schmidke, we are focusing here on the Master Suite.   I love the balcony, perfect for morning coffee or an evening nightcap while enjoying the secluded peace of the woods.  The bath includes a large shower and a modern slipper tub, perfect for soaking and relaxing.  More to come.

Secluded Michigan Home:

A secluded Michigan bath house was recently featured, with a promise to showcase a custom-built home crafted by master carpenter Joshua Schmidke. Having photographed numerous projects for Josh, including luxury condos and custom homes, I continue to be impressed by the exceptional quality of his work. With construction of this caliber, there is almost certainly a waiting list.  Trust me, it's worth it.

Stay tuned for a closer look at the interior spaces of this remarkable home.

Flashback Lifestyle Photoshoot :

We have been doing some lifestyle shots along with some recent architectural shoots, and my business partner Mary Beth commented on one of her favorites. This one from 2014. Here we had photographed the interior of an older home remodel by architect Mason Miller, which I will feature soon on one of my 'Flashback Friday' posts.

As I was packing up the gear, the homeowner came downstairs with her daughter and began preparing some dinner. Mary Beth invited them to pose for a few shots and they thought it would be fun. It was. Mary Beth shot these using a SONY A7 and a Carl Zeiss 11mm lens. She used a SunPAK 555 flash gun bounced off the ceiling for the soft fill light. Here are some favorites.

Shot On Film - Recording Artist Brenda Minor:

Back in 2002, we were shooting images on-site in Tennessee at a recording studio for an album that Brenda was working on.  This one was taken in a hallway just outside her recording booth as she was taking a break to hear a playback.

I shot this with a Minolta XE-7 using a Rokkor 58mm 1.2 lens, with a Vivitar 285 flash on a Vivitar flash bracket. I used Fuji Astia 100F, color reversal film.

Romantic Master Suite:

Today, let's take a quick look at a master suite designed by Marietta Calas from Expressive Interiors. Marietta believes in creating a romantic ambiance in the master suite, and this design truly captures that essence.
