Luxury Dining by Janet McCann:

This home ranks among our favorite photo shoots this year, featuring interiors thoughtfully designed by Janet McCann. The space beautifully showcases a clean modern-contemporary design, highlighted by rich wood tones and custom furnishings—many of which Janet personally designed with great attention to detail. Today, we spotlight the spacious and inviting open dining area, where the table and chairs exude a refined sense of luxury and expert craftsmanship. Handmade with simple, clean lines, rich hardwood materials, and elegant silk seat covers, the design perfectly strikes a balance between timeless elegance and everyday comfort. The result is truly outstanding, reflecting both artistry and functionality. Below are a few of our favorite images from this exceptional dining space.

Shooting Lissa on White:

We promised more photos from the recent Branding Photo Session with Lissa Weinstein. This setting was truly captivating—Lissa in black leather against the white leather sofa created a striking contrast. The space itself was elegant and artistically refined, providing the perfect backdrop for these sophisticated images. More to come.

Shooting Michael:

While commercial and architectural work is our primary focus, our roots are deeply planted in photographing people—and we truly love it. Whether it’s portraits, models, musicians, or executives, capturing the essence of a person brings a unique energy to our work. When Michael asked us to photograph him, he admitted feeling uncomfortable in front of the camera. I completely understand that—I’m not thrilled about having my picture taken either. But Michael, being the professional he is, trusted the process and followed direction, which allowed us to create some excellent images. These two are my favorites from that shoot.

Hampton Inn - Cypress, Texas:

We photographed this Hampton Inn in Cypress, Texas, on the day it was officially completed. What stands out about this hotel is the impeccable cleanliness of the rear building façade. It's impressive to see the same level of attention to detail, typically reserved for the front, seamlessly carried over to the back. This thoughtful design approach makes it one of our favorite projects to capture.

Shot On Film - Lisa:

Last one for today.  This is Lisa from Catfight back in 2005.  We spent the day photographing Catfight in a variety of sets at Bruce Starrenburg’s Lightbox Studio in East Dundee.  It was great fun, and the girls worked so hard to make the shoot a success.  Lisa was easy to work with.  Before she stepped in front of the camera, she told me what she was going to do, and what she was looking for from the shoot.  I love working with professionals.  Just a few from the shoot.

For those curious, we photographed Lisa on Fuji Astia 100F color reversal slide film.  Studio Lighting was StudioMaster II’s by Photogenic Machine.  One large Octagon light was used as a kick, a 48” Calumet Softbox was the main light and then a 12” glamor light was up above as a hair light.  The film was scanned full frame using a Minolta DiMage 5400 dedicated film scanner.

Modern Estate by Orren Pickell:

This modern ranch by Orren Pickell was one of our favorite recent photoshoots. The striking contrast of the white brick against the black-framed privacy windows, doors, and roofline creates a bold and sophisticated exterior. At the rear, the home boasts a four seasons room and a large deck overlooking the grounds, offering an inviting space for relaxation and entertaining. Tucked to the side, just off the master bedroom, is a private deck—perfect for stepping out into the sun or enjoying the breeze with a morning coffee and paper. We can’t wait to share the stunning interior images with you. Stay tuned!
