Last November, we had the pleasure of photographing Alter Brewing in Oak Brook, shortly after completing a video shoot for Barretts Technology Solutions. This space stands out as one of Oak Brook’s finest venues to gather, enjoy a quality meal, and savor a finely crafted beer with friends. This Master Bedroom Suite by Janet McCann exudes a refined elegance that is both inviting and serene. Floor-to-ceiling custom drapes frame the space beautifully, adding a sense of height and luxury. The ultra-soft handwoven carpet underfoot enhances the room’s warmth and tactile comfort. An elegant sitting area anchors the suite, featuring softly contoured midcentury modern leather chairs paired with a bespoke glass table lamp that offers understated illumination. This thoughtful vignette creates an ideal spot for morning coffee or an evening cup of tea. Every element in the room contributes to a calming, comfortable atmosphere—precisely the feeling a Master Suite should embody.

Janet McCann is not only an accomplished interior designer but also a skilled furniture designer, and we always appreciate when her bespoke creations become part of her projects. This particular piece remains my all-time favorite.
I couldn’t resist taking a minute and revisiting the interior of Midici of Naperville. The space was impeccably designed, featuring large open ovens that command attention, stacks of hardwood perfectly arranged for baking, and a spacious self-serve counter that invites interaction. The famous pizza dough counter adds a unique touch, elevating the dining experience. This setting truly represents the pinnacle of upscale wood-fired pizza. A recently completed McDonald’s location was photographed the day before its official opening. We began the shoot early in the morning before sunrise to capture the building with a soft, twilight-like ambiance, simulating an evening scene. Once the sun had risen, we continued shooting to showcase the crisp, natural daylight highlighting the structure’s clean lines and vibrant branding. This dual approach allowed us to present the new McDonald’s in both moody, atmospheric tones and bright, clear conditions, emphasizing its architectural features and inviting presence.
We photographed the exterior views of Midci in Naperville the evening before they opened for business. The following day, this quiet empty outdoor patio would be filled with patrons, enjoy the amazing food and drink they offered. It’s allows a good idea to shoot a commercial space before it’s opened, that is when the views are pristine and fresh. Some favorites below.
We photographed this extensive Master Bath remodel, showcasing a vaulted ceiling, a spacious walk-in shower, a custom dressing table, and two large walk-in closets. A window seat surrounded by handcrafted cabinetry adds both charm and functionality to the dressing area. We recently had the pleasure of photographing a stunning condo completed by the Howard Design Group in Chicago. Cindy gave us a detailed tour of the space, which was just ready for furniture.. The condo features custom hardwood floors that add warmth and sophistication throughout. A striking stone linear fireplace serves as the centerpiece of the living area, flanked by twin built-in cabinets that provide both function and elegance.
The wet bar and bespoke kitchen showcase exquisite craftsmanship and attention to detail, making the space perfect for both everyday living and entertaining. The powder room, guest bath, and master suite bath all feature custom hand-built cabinetry by A.W.E., enhancing the overall refined aesthetic.
